Aztec, an Activar company, provides comprehensive plastisol services to protect metal, including dip coating or molding and fluidized bed powder coating. We are hiring a full-time Customer Account Manager for our growing facility in Lakeville. We are flexible on shift but would ideally hire for Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. This is an on-site role, not remote.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Customer Account Manager is responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative and customer service duties to facilitate the efficient operations of the company. This position performs item creation and sales and production order processing. The Customer Account Manager also ensures customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving customer inquiries and problems and resolving billing issues, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for Order Entry, Customer Portal management, and all customer coordination.
  • Responsible for coordinating and executing sales and production order creation (production job packets).
  • Close completed production jobs. Review each closed job and perform a job costing analysis.
  • Responsible for Business Central (BC) Items and Customer Cards.
  • Coordinate sales order ship date and production order completion date agreement.
  • Ensure all sales orders are in released status.
  • Invoice all shipped orders and send to customers.
  • Place daily calls to customers with orders available for will call pick up.
  • Manage customer service related activities, including customer escalations/complaint resolution, by working closely with sales, operation, and credit teams.
  • Support work to develop and build ongoing customer relationships; ensure a continued level of excellence and maintain a balance between company policy and customer benefit in decision making.
  • Help document and maintain procedures and processes.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy document storage.
  • Manage the purchase order process and ensure accurate system pricing.
  • Match received packing slips with purchase orders and vendor invoices and forward to Accounting.
  • Investigate discrepancies with vendors.
  • Work with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies in receipts/invoices.
  • Help drive strategic plan to achieve sales and budgetary goals.
  • Foster a continuous improvement environment every day.
  • Perform other assigned purchasing and accounting related duties.
  • Adhere to all company standards and policies.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Specific material knowledge.
  • Familiarity and efficient navigation within NAV/ERP system.
  • Phone etiquette and professionalism- courteous, clear and concise communications when interacting with customers, vendors, and all Activar employees.
  • Ability to clearly assess customer’s needs to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks with great attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to learn new systems.
  • Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
  • Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast paced environment that requires strong team work.
  • Basic ability to understand blue prints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
  • Previous customer service and manufacturing experience.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with plastisol/plastics industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
